BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Boston Fire Department is testing the structural integrity of a building at Corinth Street in Roslindale after a car seemingly slammed into the front at around 8:47 Sunday morning, causing wreckage that spilled debris into the road.
The BFD says several businesses in the building evacuated out of concern for a building collapse.
Officials say they are using a laser to monitor the building and watch for any more movement that would indicate a potential collapse.
The Boston Police Department issued an advisory for the public to avoid the area of Belgrade and Birch Street while crews work at the crash site.
The driver was transported to the hospital for minor injuries.
