BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Massachusetts Gaming Commission voted Wednesday to lift all remaining restrictions on Massachusetts casinos over the weekend.
A variety of COVID restrictions have been in place for the state's casinos for the last 15 months, like the need to maintain 6 feet of distance between patrons and have all guests wear face masks.
In a unanimous 4-0 vote, the Commission said the casinos could drop that guidance this coming Saturday at midnight, when the state fully reopens.
Encore Boston Harbor and MGM-Springfield said they weren't planning on opening all of their restaurants and bars right at midnight. Plainridge Park Casino in Plainville said it plans to fully open for regular service at 9:00 AM on Saturday.
Masks will not be required for fully vaccinated guests at Encore Boston Harbor, but complimentary masks will still be available.
