Celebrating 70s Pop Culture At 'Megafest Comic-Con' In Natick

NATICK, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A time machine back to the 70s was up and running this weekend in Natick.

Fans were flocking to the New England Super Megafest Comic-Con at the Verve Hotel taking a trip back in time when television shows such as Batman, the Munsters, Shazam!, and H.R. Pufnstuf were popular.

Megafest was being billed as New England's 'Ultimate Comic-Con.'

The event that was celebrating 70s pop culture featured meet and greets with actors, writers, creators, and production staff members from the shows.

Sid Croft was one of the event's featured speakers and presenters.

He and his brother Marty (the Kroft Brothers) created, wrote, and produced popular children's television shows i.e. Banana Splits, H.R. Pufnstuf, and variety show programs. 

Director, producer, and actor Wesley Eure, best known for his role as Will in 'Land of the Lost,' said how much he loves being a part of these events. "We get to travel and see old friends and meet amazing fans who grew up watching our shows," he said.
