BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — If you're planning on celebrating America's birthday this weekend -- you might be hit with some showers in the forecast.

According to AccuWeather, Friday will continue to see some clouds and showers throughout the afternoon, and much cooler temperatures than recent days with a high of 65 degrees. Clouds are also expected at night, along with some rain.

Saturday is also cooler with a high of 65 degrees. The forecast is predicting passing morning showers followed by some showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. It will likely be a cloudy night as well with a few showers predicted late.

As for Independence Day itself, temperatures will be warming up a bit with a high of 67 degrees. The day will be mostly cloudy with a couple showers in the morning that will become more intermittent in the afternoon. Clouds are expected at night, but not as much rain as previous days.

And if you have a four-day weekend -- Monday is also warming up even more with a high of 79 degrees and intervals of clouds and sunshine. Things will then start to turn cloudy and cool down in the afternoon.
