BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — It's a 'first' in the long illustrious history of Celtics playoffs... a watch party at the TD Garden.
Hard to believe but there's never been a Boston Celtics NBA finals watch party, but there is tonight for Game 3 and Friday night for Game 4.
The Celtics are 2-0 in the finals and hoping to send the series to the brink tonight with both games 3 and 4 in Dallas.
At the TD Garden a few hours before the game, this fan said it's about time the team is having a watch party. "I just think this is really exciting," she said. "Boston fans ride hard and can get rabid, and I think it's good for everyone to create a community about it."
Both watch parties at the TD Garden sold out quickly.
They went on sale last week for $18 to commemorate the chase for banner #18.
But on the resale market, tickets for tonight's party were selling for as high as $265, and as high as $514 for Friday night's game and possible championship clincher.
