CHARLTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Charlton Police shared a photo on their Facebook page Friday of how not to transport a door in your vehicle.

In the photo, a car can be seen pulled over with it's rear door open—and a full-sized home door hanging out the side.

"You can't drive down the 'back roads' (Route 20), from Auburn to Monson, straddling lanes, with cargo precipitously jutting out into traffic, holding onto it with one hand whilst steering with the other," the department wrote. "It's just not done."

Luckily, the department said a Good Samaritan driving a pickup pulled up and offered to drive the door back to the offending driver's home for them.
