BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Monday is National Cheeseburger Day and some Bostonians got an early start to the festivities.
South Street Diner in Boston is famous for being open all night and seven days a week. After a long night of partying, many people come straight to the diner to get their late-night snack.
Chase, an employee at South Street Diner, said cheeseburgers are always a top pick at the diner, especially for those coming back from partying.
“You get drunk and you need a little bit of grease in your life you know,” said one of the customers devouring a cheeseburger in the early hours of Monday morning.
Everyone had their own idea of what makes a perfect burger. One customer kept it simple with just cheese and pickles, while other customers added bacon, tomatoes, onions and condiments.
