CHELMSFORD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Chelmsford Police are looking for an armed robbery suspect after a gas station was held up there on Saturday.
Police said they got the call for the robbery at about 9:30 PM on Saturday at the New World Gas Station on Littleton Road.
When officers got on scene, the clerk said the alleged robber left minutes before, and was wearing all black with a black mask. The clerk told police the man had a machete in his hand, and demanded all the money in the till, putting it in a grocery bag.
The clerk said the man then fled across the street to a black sedan, which took off toward the center of town.
The suspect is believed to be in his late teens or early 20's — no injuries were reported, and Chelmsford police are still investigating.
