CHELSEA, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — With the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Commissioner Jeffrey Riley announcing that the state mask requirement in schools will not be renewed and expire on February 28, Chelsea Public Schools Superintendent Almi Abeyta said that their schools will keep a mask mandate in place heading into March.
Abeyta said that because CPS had a mask requirement in place prior to the Commissioner announcing a statewide mask mandate, CPS will fall back under their original policy.
