BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The company that makes Chips Ahoy! is recalling packages of the cookies because they may include an "unexpected solidified ingredient."
Mondelez Global LLC announced the recall on Saturday, saying they have received reports of "potential adverse health effects."
The recall includes 13oz packages of Chips Ahoy! Chewy cookies with the retail UPC 0 44000 03223 4, and with "best used by" dates of 07SEP2019, 08SEP2019, 14SEP2019, and 15SEP2019.
Mondelez asked anyone with these cookies not to eat them. They said customers could contact the company at 1-844-366-1171 for more information about the recall between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekdays.
