WAYLAND, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Bark made by Chocolate Therapy, a confectionary on Andrew Ave., has landed a spot on Oprah Winfrey's annual "Favorite Things" list of holiday gift ideas from small businesses around the country.

The list called the shop's "Trio Nut Bark" pack, which comes with three different types of nut-studded chocolate barks, "perfection in three-inch squares!"

Co-owner Pam Griffin said the store has already seen a surge in sales since the list came out on Nov. 1.

"I'm just too happy to be overwhelmed," Griffin said.

Griffin and her husband, David, quit their corporate jobs to open Chocolate Therapy in 2011. They make every sheet of bark and tray of chocolates by hand.

Griffin expects the holiday season will be busier than usual thanks to Winfrey's shout out.

The business has already seen a 10 percent sales bump because of the endorsement.

"We're going to make as much bark as we can possible make, pack as much as we can, and hopefully we'll be able to keep everyone happy," Griffin said.
