City Hall Plaza Hosting Free Watch Party For Women's World Cup

BOSTON, Mass. ( WBZ NewsRadio) — Mayor Walsh and the City of Boston are inviting the public to cheer on the U.S national soccer team in the Women’s World Cup.

They are hosting a free viewing party will be held Monday at noon at City Hall Plaza.

Team USA, one of the big favorites in the competition, is set to face off against Spain in Round 16 after winning against Sweden 2-1 on Thursday.

The winner of Monday’s game will move on to face France in the quarter-finals.

City officials said bags, backpacks, purses larger than a wristlet, coolers, chairs and weapons won't be allowed inside City Hall Plaza.
