Communities Added To Massachusetts' High-Risk COVID-19 Classification

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Six cities and towns have been added to the Massachusetts list of high-risk classification based on COVID-19.

This is based on the average, positive test rates. The cities and towns added include Nantucket, Plainville, Saugus, Tyngsboro, Worcester, and Wrentham. They have all seen a rise in infection over the last two weeks.

The latest numbers for the Commonwealth show 295 new cases of the virus, and 20 new deaths as of Wednesday.

However, there is good news for two communities. Chatham and Methuen were taken off the high-risk category.
