SALEM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — An inbound Newburyport/Rockport train had electrical issues around 7:45 a.m.
The train had a low-voltage issue which resulted in sparks, however ultimately no fire.
There are now delays on the Newburyport and Rockport lines.
MBTA officials said passengers can follow updates on the situation via Twitter and T-Alerts.
The situation is now being investigated by MBTA and Keolis.
