PRINCETON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio)— This new house on the market in Princeton could be the perfect home for anyone who's ever wanted to live in a superhero's fortress.
This three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom house in Princeton is actually a concrete bunker built on the side of a hill. The inside looks just like every other home, except the walls and floors, which are all made of concrete.
The house has been on the market for just over a week and is listed at $640,000.
WBZ's Matt Shearer (@MattWBZ) got a tour of the home from Greg Maiser, the listing agent for the house.
"This is by far the most unique property I've ever listed and probably the one of the most unique that I've ever even been in," Maiser said.
The house comes with a roof made entirely of grass and soil along with several large skylights to provide natural lighting for the home. Massachusetts winters should be no problem in this home considering the floors are heated to go along with the natural insulation from being underground.
"They average around $3000 or so a year in heating costs on a 2,800 square foot home," Maiser said. "Which is good, especially in New England."
