BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has released the latest numbers of COVID-19 cases in the Commonwealth, and the numbers continue to go up.
There are now 218 cases of coronavirus in the state, up 21 new presumptive positive cases from Monday.
In addition, the state confirmed that 197 cases—the total number of cases as of the previous day—have been confirmed positive by the state.
Of the total cases, 102 are related to the Biogen conference held last month at the Marriot Long Wharf hotel in Boston; 24 are travel related; 33 are "local transmission" cases; 59 are still under investigation.
A total of 21 people were hospitalized with the cases, and 145 were not.
Massachusetts has tested a total of 1,367 people for coronavirus.
Middlesex County has the most cases, with 89, followed by 43 in Norfolk County and 42 in Suffolk County.
