EVERETT, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Costco is making a massive change to their food court offerings this summer.

The wholesale retailer announced that they would be switching from selling Pepsi to Coca-Cola products in their food court in Summer 2025. This was confirmed back in January by Costco CEO Ron Vachris during the Q&A of Costco’s annual shareholders meeting (found at minute 44:23).

After over a decade of Costco selling Pepsi products in their food court, this change has garnered mixed reception from customers, depending on their particular soda allegiance.

Christina and John from Medford were very excited to hear about this change.

“I would get lemonade because I wouldn’t drink the Pepsi, and I was like ‘I want Coke!’” Christina said.

“Now she’s happy,” John said. “We’re Coke people, hardcore Coke people.”

Not everyone is happy with the change, however, as Doug is not thrilled about the shift in brand.

“They say pizza pairs better with Pepsi, right?” Doug said. “Stay with Pepsi products.”

“Aww man, come on, Pepsi’s Pepsi, man,” another shopper said.

According to an employee from Everett’s Costco location, their store will officially switch to Coke products in the next few weeks.
