WALPOLE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — If you went to the Cochrane’s house in Walpole, you would think it was a museum.
Christine and Bruce Cochrane have collected thousands of items dating from the 1920s to the late 1970s.
It all started 21 years ago when Bruce bought a forest green and white 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle. They started decorating the garage with dozens of old signs from Watson’s Candies to Sinclair Gas, some even have bullet holes.
“It tells a story and that’s what makes you smile when you sit out here and you look at it,” said Bruce Cochrane.
Some of the other highlights include old soda machines when you only needed a nickel and a gas pump when gas was only 10 cents per gallon.
