Crash On Storrow Drive Leaves 1 Dead, 2 Injured

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — One person has been killed, and two others injured, following a rollover crash early Friday morning on Storrow Drive in Boston.

Massachusetts State Police have identified the man who died as 27-year-old Alexander Galanis. He was driving the vehicle. He was pronounced dead a Massachusetts General Hospital.

The crash happened on the eastbound side of Storrow Drive near Clarendon Street around 1:30 a.m.

According to authorities, the car appeared to have been driving on a part of the street that was blocked off for the Fourth of July celebration on the Esplanade by driving around barriers at the Charlesgate East O-Ramps

Two passengers in the car were hurt, including one suffering from serious injuries. State Police initially reported that three people had been injured, but confirmed Friday morning only two people were injured.

The incident is currently under investigation.
