BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Boston Children's Museum marked an end to Massachusetts STEM Week with their fifth CreatedBy Festival on Sunday.
The museum invited dozens of creators to show kids the ropes in the wonders of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.
"The variety of things you are going to see at this festival will just blow your mind," organizer Lex Rose told WBZ NewsRadio.
On the first floor, the Northeastern Section of The American Chemical Society conducted a variety of chemistry experiments, while on the second floor, kite designer Glenn Davison taught kids about the science behind flying a kite.
"The ones that I'm holding in my hands right now, one of them flies badly and the other one flies very well. The one that flies well is the one that has a tail attached to it," Davison told observers.
The festival also highlighted robotics with displays from both local teams and the Discovery Channel show BattleBots, engineering with LEGO builds, and the arts with LED light murals.
"Our project is wearable lights and we are showing our children how to do a complete circuit with small batteries and LEDs," said Claire McHale from the Society of Women Engineers.
