SHARON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Can I offer you a nice glass of eggnog in this trying time?

While autumn is the season for leaf peeping, cider sipping, and pumpkin picking, Crescent Ridge Dairy in Sharon is getting a head start on the holidays.

The nearly 90-year-old farm has already started selling their homemade eggnog in glass bottles, more than two months before Christmas.

"We have it in our Boston Public Market stall," Robert McCarthy, Director of Business Growth and Development told WBZ NewsRadio Thursday. "Starting Nov. 1, it will be on Whole Foods shelves, and I believe starting next week, Roche Bros., Big Y, you’ll start seeing it pop up on their shelves as well."

According to McCarthy, their eggnog sales started early in order to meet high consumer demands.

"Grocery stores have been asking for it a little bit earlier and earlier every year, and that helps out our home delivery customers getting access to it because now we’re making it for everyone," McCarthy said.

Crescent Ridge will also start selling eggnog ice cream next month.
