Danvers Man Charged With Possession Of Child Pornography

DANVERS, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – A man from Danvers appeared in court Thursday for possessing hundreds of child pornography images, according to the Essex County District Attorney's office.

68-year-old Mark Ternullo was arraigned on one count of possession of child pornography in Salem District Court on Thursday. The pornographic images were found while a contractor was renovating Ternullo’s apartment bathroom.

While removing the wall behind the bathtub, which needed to be replaced because of extensive water damage, the contractor found a hidden room with multiple boxes of pornographic images.

The contractor then reported the photos to Danvers police and Ternullo was arrested. Prosecutors requested $500,000 Ternullo be placed on cash bail, but the judge set it at $10,000.

If his bail is made, Ternullo will have to remain under house arrest with a GPS monitoring device. He must also stay away from children under the age of 18 and cannot use the internet.
