DANVERS, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Moving into the first weekend after the presidential election, Massachusetts residents shared mixed feelings on its results.
Some folks, such as Austin from Topsfield, expressed disappointed but decided to keep moving forward.
"I personally am not happy with the results, I'm not surprised by the result however, I'm not really doing anything different in my life," said Austin.
Some heard that Trump supporters were celebrating, but people like Jim from Salem were content to acknowledge it and move on.
Residents that were more concerned about the outcome have sought other ways to cope.
"Gotta go to the church, I feel like my mother but you gotta have faith, it's gonna be ok, go to some nice people, kind peaceful people, it'll be ok, we're gonna get through it," said Carol from Peabody.
Others felt that keeping busy was a good way to keep moving forward.
"Funny is I did get a new dog about 6 weeks ago, kids and dogs are good distractions," said Cory from Danvers.
Most people, regardless of who they voted for and how they feel about the winner, have decided to continue moving ahead.
