WORCESTER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Due to the decrease in COVID-19 cases across Massachusetts, the field hospital set up at the DCU Center is closing.
The field hospital is set to close at 7 p.m. on March 15.

Instead of shutting down completely, it will remain on standby as UMass Memorial monitors coronavirus trends and determines the site needs to be reopen again.
The temporary hospital treated over 600 people and opened early December.
