After Chase, Police Searching For Armed Robbery Suspects In Dedham

DEDHAM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Police are continuing to search for suspects after an armed robbery in Boston that led authorities to Dedham.

The three suspects were believed to be in a black BMW, but refused to stop for police—eventually going on to I-95 and getting off in Dedham.

Massachusetts State Police units stopped following the car when it turned onto Pine Street in Dedham from Route 109, and the car was later found abandoned in the Riverdale area of the town.

Residents and businesses were ordered to shelter in place shortly after 1 p.m., but were told they could return to normal activity about an hour later.

Officers from Boston, Needham, and Westwood assisted in the search, along with State Police. K-9 units and the State Police Air Wing assisted in the search, but there have so far been no arrests.

Police said video evidence seems to point to the suspects leaving in another vehicle, and that they are believed to have left the area.
