BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Travelers are encouraged to double check their flight itineraries as the weather and government shutdown have gradually impacted flights in and out of Logan Airport.

As the holidays approach, regulars at Logan Airport like Cliff are concerned about what the future holds for them.

"I travel a lot for work and you know the mornings could be really impacted."

Many airports are seeing air traffic control shortages and other staffing shortages due to the shutdown. Logan hasn't experienced any major impacts yet, but if the shutdown continues to linger, everyone will feel the impact. Travelers like George hopes that things can be resolved soon.

I'm very concerned about it," George said. "We do travel quite a bit, so hopefully this thing gets over pretty quick."

Friday marks day number 31 of the federal government shutdown. The Senate has adjourned until Monday, so there will be no resolution this weekend.

"Let's hope that we can just all get to the table and put political differences aside and focus on what matters and that's the American people," Cliff said.
