METHUEN, Mass (WBZ NewsRadio) — Police in Methuen are investigating after a dog was shot and killed Thursday afternoon.
It happened at a home on Lowell Boulevard when the owner saw that their other dog was laying on top of Moose, a German Shepard.
Methuen Police Captain Kristopher McCarthy said that the dog was shot at at the home and that the shooting seems intentional but do not have a motive.
Massachusetts State Police said that they are assisting local authorities with ballistics and crime scene assistance.
