BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A pair of famous Boston faces celebrated National Cheeseburger Day at Logan International Airport Wednesday.

Chef Paul Wahlberg and his brother, actor and New Kids on the Block member Donnie Wahlberg, served up burgers at the Wahlburgers location in Logan's Terminal E.

"Celebrity sighting for sure," one person told WBZ NewsRadio.

"It was really cool, we’ve never really seen celebrities up close like this," another person said.

Donnie handed out samples from behind the counter while Paul worked the kitchen.

"They don’t want me in the kitchen," Donnie said. "Like I’ll put fluffernutter on a burger, I do crazy stuff."

Paul, Donnie, and Mark Wahlberg opened the first Wahlburgers restaurant in Hingham in 2011. Today, the casual dining chain has more than 90 locations worldwide.

"People leave Boston and come back home after a long trip, it’s nice to have a taste of home when they come back," Donnie said. "And if they’re going away for a long time, leaving Boston, this could be a great last stop to have a little taste of home before you go."

WBZ's Madison Rogers (@MadisonWBZ) reports.
