BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Dorchester man was taken into police custody early Monday morning after authorities said he stabbed two other people in a home late Sunday night.
Boston Police said Carl West, 66, is charged with assault with intent to murder, as well as assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
West is one of three people who were injured at the Dorchester Avenue home just before 11 p.m. Officers arrived at the scene and said they saw West walking out the front door with a pocket knife in his hand.
Police found a man and woman inside the home who had been stabbed. They, along with West, were taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
A police spokesperson said all three knew each other, and the attack was not random—but they aren't sure what caused the incident to escalate to violence.
West faces arraignment Monday.
