BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Pantry Pizza Kitchen in Dorchester is offering free pizza in exchange for some holiday caroling.
From now until Christmas Eve, customers who walk through the door while singing “Jingle Bells” will receive a free slice of cheese pizza.
Daryl told WBZ NewsRadio this is a great way to boost some holiday spirit in the community.
“I think it's sweet,” he said. “People are hungry this holiday season and all you got to do is sing 'Jingle Bells' and get a free slice.”
Lacy, an employee at the shop, said the rules are intentionally simple so everyone can meet the benchmark.
“You have to come in singing,” she said. “There’s no opening the door with no singing. We need the door open and the song automatically and you get a free slice.”
She added that she’s looking forward to more people taking up the challenge.
“We need more,” Lacy said. “It’s fun. Just come in and sing the song.”
