Dorchester Shooting Leaves One Woman Dead, 2nd Person Hurt

DORCHESTER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — One person is dead and another injured after a shooting in Dorchester early Saturday morning, police said.

The Boston Police Department said shortly before 5:30 a.m., officers responded to 12 Greenock Street for a report of a person shot.

Upon arrival, the officers located a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. The woman was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead, officials said.

Police said a second victim was also shot multiple times at the same location and located at a local hospital suffering from non-life threatening injuries.

The identity of the victim is unknown. No arrests have been made at this time.
