Dormitory-Style Hotel Named Best In Boston

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A hotel in Boston’s South End has been named the best in the city for Condé Nast Traveler’s 2019 Reader’s Choice Awards.

The Revolution Hotel first opened its doors less than year ago, but it has become a trendy spot in Boston.

“Our hotel is outperforming every hotel in the city. The average is about 80 percent, we’re at 95 percent,” the hotel’s creator, Bruce Percelay, said.

Rooms cost $150 a night or less, and choices include either one king-sized bed, a king bed and a loft twin, or “four twin beds arranged bunk-bed style,” according to the hotel’s website.

For some rooms, guests share a communal bathroom. Guests do have an option to book a room with a small private bathroom.

There are also over 180 art displays at the hotel that showcase the history of Boston.
