DOUGLAS, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A father and his two children are safe after part of a large tree came crashing through their home during last night's wind storm.
"My house is split right in half," Troy Kibbe told WBZ NewsRadio's Kim Tunnicliffe.
Luckily the three were not hurt, and that's all that matters to the single dad.
"My kids are my pride and joy," Kibby said. "I pretty much raise these kids by myself. I don't care about the house. The house could be replaced, knocked down, I don't care—as long as my kids and my family are safe."
He and his kids are now living in a trailer in the back yard.
