Dracut Police Searching For Suspects Who Stole $12,000 From Local Business

DRACUT, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – Dracut Police are asking the public’s help in identifying two suspects who allegedly stole more than $12,000 from a local business.

Dracut Police Chief Peter Bartlett said the two men stole the money by forging a fraudulently obtained check.

The business owner told police back in October 2021 that a check he mailed out to a vender was stolen, forged and cashed. Police said the suspects took the check falsified the name of the payee, changed the amount and then cashed it at a local ATM.

Authorities obtained surveillance footage and have now released images of the suspects and is asking the public to help identify the two men. Anyone with information on the case who believes they recognize the suspects is asked to call the Dracut Police Department at 978-957-2123. Callers can remain anonymous.
