DEVENS, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A truck driver died in Devens, Mass. after crashing into a psychiatric hospital on Wednesday morning.
In a statement from the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office, officials said a pick-up truck crashed into the front of TaraVista Behavioral Health Center and caught on fire at around 5:30 A.M. on Wednesday.
The driver, who was the only one in the vehicle at the time, was dead when authorities arrived at the scene. Authorities said no one inside the building was injured and that they would not identify the driver until the family was notified.
State police said they are investigating the circumstances of the crash. No further information was immediately available.
