GRAFTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – On Wednesday afternoon, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation reported a tractor-trailer rollover crash.
It happened just before noon on the westbound side of the Mass Pike around mile 100.7.
Rescue crews worked to free the driver, a 60-year-old woman from Brockton, who was trapped after the vehicle crashed into the median in Grafton.
The Westborough Fire Department said a Life Flight was en route to the scene, with Grafton and Westborough Heavy Rescues working to free the driver.
Traffic was at a standstill as both sides of the Mass Pike were closed because of the crash, causing delays all the way back to I-495.
A medical helicopter took the driver from the scene to the hospital with serious injuries.
