PLAISTOW, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A driver allegedly told Plaistow, New Hampshire police he had no idea he was driving on just three wheels.
The department wrote on their Facebook page that they received reports of a car losing a wheel on Main Street in Atkinson, New Hampshire, and then continuing to drive.
Police caught up with the driver on Route 121 near Dover Saddlery, and said the driver "stated he was unaware the tire had fallen off."
That tire was later found and turned in to police.
"We are glad the driver and the motoring public were not injured in this incident," the department wrote. "If you find yourself in a similar situation, please pull over in a safe location and call for assistance."
