BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Early voting is underway in Boston for the Preliminary Municipal Election on Tuesday, Sept. 9.
Incumbent Michelle Wu is facing three challengers in the primary: Robert Cappucci, Domingos DaRos, and Josh Kraft. One of the four will advance to the November election.
There are ten contenders for counselor at large. The preliminary will eliminate two challengers, leaving eight to run in November for the four available seats.
Incumbents Ruthzee Louijeune, Julia Mejia, Erin Murphy, and Henry Santana will be opposed by Frank Baker, Yves Mary Jean, Marvin Dee Mathelier, Rachel Nicole Miselman, Will Onuoha, and Alexandra Valdez.
During early voting, you are allowed to vote at any site that is convenient for you. Each location will be accessible to voters with disabilities and have AutoMark machines for residents who need assistance filling out their ballots.
Any registered Boston voter can vote at Boston City Hall or in-person at any early voting location. If you want to vote by mail, your application must be submitted before the Sept. 2 deadline.
Residents can find a list of voting locations on the City of Boston's website. The last day to vote early is Friday, Sept. 5.
