BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A family portrait is missing in East Boston, and one woman is on a mission to find it.
"I brought it in to work to show my colleagues and I placed it on top of my car...pulled out of the driveway on Maverick Street and from there, it was gone," said Casey Repici of Andover.
The painting is of Repici's father and late grandfather on a fishing boat, a gift for Father's Day, and Casey painted it herself. She was offered some calamari as she was putting the painting in her car last Friday, and briefly forgot about it. The portrait was last seen near Border and Maverick streets.
"I spaced out, and I didn't realize until I came into work the next day," Repici said. She believes someone has the painting and that it's not just on the street, which is why she's enlisting the public's help. She still has a print of it, for context.
