Eastie Woman Wins $1 Million Off State's New $50 Scratch Ticket

DORCHESTER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A big scratch ticket pays off for an East Boston woman. The Massachusetts State Lottery says its $50 scratch ticket has already yielded a million-dollar winner: Eastie's Jary Rodriguez Temac.

The state lottery's "Billion Dollar Extravaganza” went on sale less than a month ago, on February 7th. State lottery officials say the big winning ticket was sold at Neptune Liquors in East Boston. The store will also get a $10,000 bonus for selling the ticket.

She claimed the prize on Wednesday together with her husband, Marlon. State officials say the game has sold more than 540,000 winning tickets so far.
