CARVER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Though COVID closed its doors except for Christmas celebrations, Edaville Family Theme Park is up for sale just in time for its 75th anniversary this year.

Current owner 65-year-old Jon Delli Priscoli has owned the park for twenty years, and says that it's time for the place to switch hands.

"I absolutely love Edaville- but I'm at the point in my life where I think it needs new energy, somebody a little bit younger could take it to the next level. There's so much to work with here, so much has been put into Edaville over the past twenty years of my ownership that's it's unlimited what somebody could do with it," Delli Priscoli said.

Edaville is known for having many amusement rides, including the Steam Train, which takes guests around the park on their Engine 21. The park also has a history of holding large holiday events, such as the "Christmas Festival of Lights," featuring visits with Santa towards the end of the year.

Delli Priscoli says he visited Edaville as a child, and over the course of his ownership, added "Dino Land," a life-size Christmas village, and dozens of amusement rides.

"When the Edaville opportunity presented itself to me, I didn't want to see another provincial wonderful thing of my childhood evaporate. I tried to do the absolute best I could- we brought it to another level, but it could use more," Delli Priscoli said.
