Elderly Driver Crashes Into Medford COVID Testing Site

MEDFORD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A COVID testing site in Medford is back online after a car crashed into the site on Tuesday morning.

The Medford Fire Department told WBZ NewsRadio the crash happened at about 8:15 AM, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. They said an elderly woman drove her car into a concrete jersey barrier and ended up on top of it, clipping a COVID testing tent on the site. The car was badly damaged.

Fire officials believe the crash was accidental, and said the woman was walking around on scene and appeared to be fine. She was taken to a hospital to be evaluated, according to WBZ-TV. No one was injured in the collision.
