Motorcyclist Killed In Everett Hit-And-Run Crash

EVERETT, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A motorcycle rider is dead after a serious hit-and-run crash in Everett Wednesday morning.

The crash happened on Broadway—otherwise known as Route 99—near Hancock Street around 5:52 a.m.

In a release, the Middlesex District Attorney's office said the motorcyclist was struck from behind and was unresponsive at the scene.

He was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He has not yet been identified.

There have been no arrests yet in the crash, and authorities are still trying to find the driver involved.

"As a result of the preliminary investigation police have identified vehicles that were in the area at the time of the crash, that investigation is active at this time," the Middlesex DA's office said.
