ALLSTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Everyone gets the all-star treatment at this local barbershop.
Title City Barbers was started by owner Josh Periera back in 2016. It's expanded to five locations now in Allston, Brookline, Newton, Natick Mall, and Natick Center.
Josh has become the go-to guy for professional athletes in Boston.
It all began with former Celtic Nate Robinson who liked the way Josh cut hair and told some of his friends about the shop. And now, Josh has members of the Bruins, Patriots, Red Sox, and Celtics as his shop's clients, even during the season. "A lot of these guys when I'm cutting their hair, they're looking through the plays," Josh said.
It wasn't always smooth sailing for Josh. He talks openly about fighting personal battles. "I had an issue with depression for a bit," he said. "I felt like a failure."
But once Josh opened up and got the help he needed, things began to fall into place. "Man, if you're going through something, just get the help you need," he said. "The world might need you."
