BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The stage has been set for the final FIFA World Cup match taking place at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.

Thousands of fans are set to gather into Gillette, which has been dubbed ‘Boston Stadium,’ for one last time Thursday night to watch France and Morocco face off.

Both teams have already played matches at ‘Boston Stadium’ during the World Cup, but this is the first time France and Morocco will face each other during the tournament.

“I think when it was first announced, people were concerned about the T and how everything was going to go, but it’s been super smooth.

As most folks heading to the game opted to use services like the commuter rail, some were nervous about influx of foot traffic causing problems with the flow of public transport.

Melrose resident Jackson, however, said everything has been going according to plan.

“I think when it was first announced, people were concerned about the T and how everything was going to go, but it’s been super smooth,” said Jackson. “It hasn’t really affected me too much, I know some people it has, but honestly, it hasn’t really bothered me.”

An $80 price tag isn’t stopping people from purchasing round trips on the T, and plenty of watch parties happening in and around Boston give people a chance to watch the action without breaking the bank.

Jamaica Plain resident Xavier said it’s refreshing to see people come together to celebrate an event this big.

“I’m glad people are starting to become more unified and start to show their true colors and love for their country,” said Xavier.
