BRIDGEWATER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A single-car crash on Route 495 southbound in Bridgewater left a woman dead and a man seriously injured Saturday afternoon, authorities said.
Massachusetts State Police said a 2018 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling on Interstate 495 at around 3:18 p.m. when it went into the wooden median of the roadway and flipped over.

The driver, a 79-year-old Mashpee man, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, police said.
The passenger, identified as Lana Testa, 74, of Mashpee, was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
The left travel lane of Interstate 495 southbound near exit 19B was closed for nearly four and a half hours.
Investigators said they are still determining why the vehicle went into the median.
