CHICOPEE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — State police responded to a fatal crash on Route 90 eastbound at the 50.2 mile mark in Chicopee on Friday.
The single car crash happened around 1:45 p.m., according to the police.
In their preliminary investigation, police found that a 2005 Subaru Forester lost control of the vehicle and rolled over into the westbound lanes of Route 90.

No other vehicles from the eastbound or westbound sides were involved in the crash.
The driver, a 36-year-old female from Palmer, succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the crash. A male juvenile passenger of the car was transported to Baystate Medical Center where he is facing serious injuries.
This crash remains under investigation and no further information is available at this time.
