FBI Boston Offering $10,000 For Information About Route 91 Bandit

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) – The FBI has announced a $10,000 reward for information regarding an individual who is allegedly behind multiple bank robberies.

The FBI is seeking the public’s help to identify the Route 91 bandit, who is allegedly responsible for 11 robberies. The white male suspect, who is considered armed and dangerous, is between 5’6” and 5’8” with a medium build. He also has blue eyes, light-colored hair and has been routinely seen wearing a hood or hat and white sneakers.

The FBI said he has threatened using a gun and during at least six of his robberies, tried to enter bank vaults. The robberies happened across four states including Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Connecticut. The FBI believes the suspect drives a newer model Nissan sedan.

“In the interest of public safety, we’re asking anyone with information about this individual to contact us immediately,” said Joseph R. Bonavolonta, special agent in charge of the FBI Boston Division. “We need to put a stop to this man’s crime spree before someone gets hurt.”

The public is being asked to review pictures of the suspect and share them on social media. Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI at 1-857-386-2000. Tips can also be electronically submitted online.
