Fenway Park Hosts High School, College Hockey For 'Frozen Fenway 2023'

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — In the wake of a Bruins win over the Pittsburgh Penguins for the Winter Classic at Fenway, crews are not immediately tearing down the rink constructed on top of the baseball diamond. A series of high school hockey scrimmages are set to be held at the ballpark, with college hockey teams taking the ice in between schedules.

Frozen Fenway 2023, presented by Moderna and the U.S. Virgin Islands, is hosting ten high school games with schools from all over New England and beyond, for both boys and girls teams. Tickets to attend the scrimmages are free, and can be found here.

The schedule for the high school games begins with Northern Highlands High School and Tewksbury High School facing off Wednesday afternoon:

Wednesday, January 4:

  • Northern Highlands High School Highlanders vs. Tewksbury High School Redmen at 2:30 p.m.

Tuesday, January 10:

  • Governor's Academy Governors vs. Kimball Union Academy Wildcats (boys hockey) at 3:45 p.m.
  • Governor's Academy Governors vs. Kimball Union Academy Wildcats (girls hockey) at 5:15 p.m.
  • Archbishop Williams High School Bishops vs. Bishop Fenwick High School Crusaders (boys hockey) at 6:30 p.m.
  • Boston Latin Academy Dragons vs. Boston Latin School Wolfpack (girls hockey) at 8 p.m.

Wednesday, January 11:

  • Hingham High School Harbormen vs. Marshfield High School Rams (boys hockey) at 5:15 p.m.

Thursday, January 12:

  • Minnechaug Regional High School Falcons vs. Boston College High School Eagles (boys hockey) at 5:15 p.m.
  • Falmouth High School vs. Ursuline Academy Bears (girls hockey) at 8 p.m.

Friday, January 13:

  • Beaver Country Day School Beavers vs. Winsor School Wildcats (girls hockey) at 5:15 p.m.
  • Boston Latin Academy Dragons vs. Boston Latin School Wolfpack (boys hockey) at 8 p.m.

Friday, January 6 (Women's):

  • UMass Minutemen vs. Boston College Eagles at 6 p.m.
