BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Second Annual Boston Hot Sauce Festival returns to town this weekend. The festival features vendors from around New England and beyond, hawking their hottest sauces to the masses. Organizers are billing the festival as the "Hottest Party in Boston."
The festival is being held on Saturday and Sunday in Garage B at the Speedway in Brighton. Some scary-sounding local hot sauce brands will set up tables, like Worcester's Decimation Hot Sauce ("Chamber of Agony," "Everlasting Torment,") and 13 Stars Hot Sauce of Boston ("Nuclear Option.")
The event will include feature eating contests on Saturday and Sunday, and something called "The Boston Spice Awards."
Part of the proceeds will go to Cambridge non-profit Sustainable Food and Culture, Inc.
